The house is divided into three, narrow, single story gabled structures with glass connectors. Organized in a “U” shape, they form a courtyard on the street side and create a private, protected area on the water side. Dividing the house into three parts keeps the scale down and creates a lively interplay between the forms.
The entry court is bounded by hallways with high windows. In contrast to this, the water side opens to a panorama of the harbor. The master bedroom, bath and guest room share the same view. As one moves through the house from wing to wing, there are shifting views of the other wings lining the courtyard.
